Baltimore City proposes to redevelop and expand the Western Sanitation Yard located at 701 Reedbird Avenue, Baltimore MD 21225 to improve parking, staff facilities, circulation, safety and traffic flow. The project will modernize the facility, support growing service demands, and provide a safer and more functional environment for sanitation workers and residents.
The existing facility is partially located within the Critical Area, more specifically in the ‘Resource Conservation Area.’ The expansion of this facility requires conditional approval from the State Critical Area Commission due to its’ nonconforming use.
