Upresting Final PosterLots Alive, a grant program of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts and the Baltimore Office of Sustainability’s Growing Green Initiative, supports the creation of temporary public art projects sited on vacant lots within the Baltimore City limits.

Upresting, a winner of the Lots Alive grant program, is a series of workshops and performances focused around an interactive quadrophonic sound installation developed by local artist Adam Holofcener.

These free events are scheduled to take place at 1401 N. Fremont Ave. in the Upton neighborhood of West Baltimore from 1-4pm on April 16, 23, 30, and May 1.  The workshop scheduled for April 23 will feature artist/activist Kwame Rose. The workshops will feature words of wisdom and performances by the artists along with the opportunity for each member of the community to step up to the mic to let their feelings rip!
