DESCRIPTION:3 Story Stories\, a winner of the Lots Alive program\, is an outdoor reading room at The Wonderground Lot in the heart of the Greenmount West neighborhood. “3-Story Stories” will feature more than 600 book bookshelf that looks like three 3-story rowhouses\, a warehouse that doubles as a table for the readers\, and soft stoops and curbs made of foam and vinyl as seating areas.  Citizens of all ages and ablities are encouraged to read or be read to from the Free Library featuring a diverse and exciting selection of books for all ages. Through scheduled readings or on their own in this open-air mini-library and reading space will be available for anyone and may be borrowed from and shared freely.\n\nThis project is made possible by Lots Alive\, a grant program of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and the Baltimore Office of Sustainability Growing Green Initiative.

SUMMARY:Lots Alive Upresting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Lots Alive\, a grant program of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts and the Baltimore Office of Sustainability’s Growing Green Initiative\, supports the creation of temporary public art projects sited on vacant lots within the Baltimore City limits. \nUpresting\, a winner of the Lots Alive grant program\, is a series of workshops and performances focused around an interactive quadrophonic sound installation developed by local artist Adam Holofcener. \nThese free events are scheduled to take place at 1401 N. Fremont Ave. in the Upton neighborhood of West Baltimore from 1-4pm on April 16\, 23\, 30\, and May 1.  The workshop scheduled for April 16 will feature artist/activist DevRock. The workshops will feature words of wisdom and performances by the artists along with the opportunity for each member of the community to step up to the mic to let their feelings rip!
