Creating a sustainable city requires the participation of everyone.

Engaging the community at all levels through grassroots outreach and education can encourage behavioral change with tangible environmental outcomes and personal benefits.  Methods of promoting awareness will range from passive information (sustainability calendars) to active involvement (neighborhood challenges) and targeted education provided by membership organizations.
